1. Look after & man­age the patients under the guid­ance of the con­sul­tant.
2. In the absence of the Con­sul­tant to faith­fully look after the patients along the indi­cated line of treat­ment.
3.To be an in-house con­sul­tant for all emer­gency sit­u­a­tions encoun­tered in the hos­pi­tal.
4.Actively par­tic­i­pate in pre­sen­ta­tions of CME’s and Jour­nal clubs.
5.Assist the con­sul­tants in all emer­gency cases.
6.Participate actively in the teach­ing pro­gram of nurs­ing staff and tech­ni­cians.
7.Supervise all nursing/ para med­ical & non med­ical staff of the depart­ment to main­tain dis­ci­pline and high stan­dard of med­ical care at the depart­ment as per stan­dard oper­at­ing procedure.

Desired:
1. Ini­tial assess­ment and man­age­ment of every patient com­ing to triage, decid­ing under which spe­cial­ity and con­sul­tant the patient will go and com­mu­ni­cat­ing the con­di­tion of the patient to the con­sul­tant.
2. Man­age­ment of patients in Triage, HDUs includ­ing per­form­ing pro­ce­dures like intu­ba­tion, cen­tral line place­ment and ven­ti­la­tory man­age­ment .
3. Sr.Resident posted in Triage/HDU is required to pro­vide med­ical cover for the wards (A1, A3) dur­ing night.
4. Per­form­ing bed­side pro­ce­dures when a med­ical offi­cer is either not avail­able or is unsuc­cess­ful in doing so.
5. Sr.Resident on duty is required to answer the atten­dants’ queries and to keep them updated in case of any fresh devel­op­ment in their patient’s con­di­tion.
6. Com­mu­ni­cate any dete­ri­o­ra­tion in the patient’s sta­tus to the respec­tive con­sul­tant and to ensure that the consultant’s orders are car­ried out appro­pri­ately.
7. Receiv­ing ambu­lance calls and ensur­ing timely dis­patch of ambu­lance.
8. Arrang­ing rooms / beds for patients in triage.
