Job Descrip­tion:
involves edit­ing man­u­scripts to make them ready to be accepted for pub­li­ca­tion, work­ing closely with our edi­tors and authors, prepar­ing com­pelling descrip­tions for the review­ers and final­iz­ing man­u­scripts for publication.

The interns shall work on the sub­ject areas, depend­ing upon their aca­d­e­mic back­ground, inter­ests and objec­tives. Once the choice is made, the intern will be required to develop a com­pre­hen­sive under­stand­ing on the pro­ce­dures and work­flows while it is expected that the intern has a com­pre­hen­sive under­stand­ing of the sub­ject area. Interns will be pro­vided inten­sive train­ing in aca­d­e­mic edit­ing. They would be work­ing closely with in-house and free­lance edi­tors with years of exper­tise in this field.

Desired:
Interns should be graduates/ post-graduates from any of the fol­low­ing areas with very good level of com­mand over Eng­lish:

Interns must be inter­ested to work as aca­d­e­mic edi­tors and eager to learn from the edit­ing field real­i­ties. In addi­tion, they must be able to work fairly inde­pen­dently and demon­strate ini­tia­tive and flex­i­bil­ity to effec­tively ben­e­fit from the intern­ship pro­gramme.
