Goverment Jobs (Technicians required) - ONGC Mumbai

ONGC-Mumbai Sector invites applications for recruitment of young and energetic men as Assistant Technicians (A-II Level) from candidates with valid registration of eligible Diploma qualification in any of the Employment Exchanges located within the State of Maharashtra. The Employment Exchange certificate/card Registration should be valid during the online registration/application process.

The job demands outdoor field work in shifts requiring considerable physical efforts and technical skills. The job is transferable to any Offshore/Onshore location within the country as demanded by the semi-mobile nature of operations.

Diploma should be recognized by AICTE. Only those with regular /full time diploma qualification need apply

Percentage of Marks: Minimum 60% Marks in 3 years Diploma in the respective discipline for General /Other Backward Class (OBC) with valid non creamy layer Candidates and 50% marks in 3 years Diploma for SC/ST Candidates.
(Round off decimal percentage to lower digit, e.g. 59.9% means 59 % only)

Age Limit: 30 years for General candidates, 33 years for OBC and 35 years for SC/ST candidates as on 31.12.2009.

Pay Scale : Rs. 5100/- open ended with applicable rate of increment per year (Pay scales are due for revision w.e.f. 01/01/2007)
Allowances: Dearness Allowance, HRA and other allowances as per rules of the Corporation.
Other benefits : LFA, Medical facility for self & dependents, Gratuity, Contributory Provident Fund, Self Contributory Post Retirement Benefit Scheme, Composite Social Security Scheme as per rules of the Corporation.

Application Fee:
General /OBC candidates are required to submit Application Fee vide Bank draft of Rs. 200/- valid for six months, issued by any Nationalized or Scheduled Bank drawn in favour of “ONGC Ltd., Mumbai” payable at Mumbai. The SC/ST Candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.

Note : Candidates, who are eligible and desire to apply for more than one post, should apply separately for each post along with separate application fee for each post. In such cases each application along with requisite documents and Demand Draft (if applicable) are required to be forwarded in separate envelopes.

Selection Methodology:
The selection methodology will comprise Written Test and Personal interview.

Choice of Test Centers for Written Test:
The written test is scheduled to be conducted tentatively in following four cites of Maharashtra depending upon the number of applications received. Candidates are required to indicate their choice of examination centre, but the allotment will be at discretion of ONGC and no change of Test centre will be permitted at a later stage.
