Job Description:
- *Establish and implement an effective compliance program to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct.
- *Responsible for designing, developing, implementing and administering all aspects of the Company’s Compliance Management Program including policy & procedures.
- *Plan, organize, and control the Company’s day-to-day administrative and investment research compliance activities; collaborate with Sr Manager – Legal & Compliance in the overall administration of these directives for the Company.
- *Monitor and report results of the compliance and ethics efforts of the company to Management.
- *Participate in various committees, audits and examinations. Perform duties as the IP Protection Officer, Confidentiality Officer and License Compliance Officer.
- *Conduct staff training related to new hires, compliance and customer service.
- *Advise the Management and employees of emerging compliance issues and consult and guide the Company in the establishment of controls to mitigate risks. Reports to Sr. Manager – Legal & Compliance
Desired:
*Graduate in Law preferably with a CA/MBA-Finance with 2 – 3 years work experience as a Compliance Officer ideally in an investment advisory and/or financial research firm or as a legal officer in a law firm/in-house legal department with a broad focus on general practice areas.
*Knowledge of investment/financial research services is essential. *Ability to use online legal resources.
