Design implement Database and User Security policies
Desired Skills:
1-3 years of Expert level experience in providing database administration services in the following environments:
Comprehensive knowledge, along with extensive and varied experience in: Log shipping, Configuring Standby Database, DTS
Master in Performance Tuning; Query Optimization; Database tuning; Coding Stored Procedures, Triggers, Complex Views; Indexes
Proven experience in Database Technologies and ability to Architect/design database solutions
Ability to utilize various tools to provide system management functions such as: System backup/recovery, System monitoring; Installations, software upgrades, and apply patche
Security and Capacity Requirements; Suggest and help implement Schemas that deliver high performance
Formal presentations to Senior management on current and planned DBA activities
System management; Backup/Restore; System monitoring; Installations; Software upgrades & Patches
Design and implement Database and User Security policies
Good knowledge of NT/XP/2000 Operating environments
Excellent skills in: Communication (Verbal & Written); Interpersonal & Team Orientation; High level of initiative
Deal with conflicting deadlines when working on multiple projects
Work with the Development teams to understand Database
Non Technical Skills:
- Flexibility and an open attitude to change.
- Ability to learn and quickly get familiar with a complex business and systems environment.
- Good Communication Skills
- Good presentation skills
- Must have excellent team working skills balanced with ability to work alone and a positive attitude
