Skills: J2EE: OOP basics, Java language, Java Beans, JSP, Servlet,EJB,JSR 168 Portlets,Web Services, XML, Struts or Spring and other J2EE technology fundamentals.

Desired:
IDEs: IBM Rational Application Developer (desirable) or Eclipse or NetBeans (any one is OK)
App Server Platforms: WebSphere, WebLogic, Jboss, etc - Deployment, Features, etc.
Testing Frameworks: Junit
Logging Frameworks: Log4J, Commons Logging,Jlog etc
Source Code Management: VSS, CVS, Rational ClearCase
Design: Basics, UML notations, HLD, LLD, Patterns etc
Interpretation, conceptualization, Architecture - Basics, Patterns - interpretation, conceptualization,
Understanding of SOA concepts, WSDL, BPEL etc
Design Tools: Rational, Visio, etc ,EJB concepts,
Build tools : Ant,Maven, JAAS concepts,
Database: DB basic, SQL, JDBC, Transactions, at least one DB knowledge like Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 etc.
